Rockin' 2012 Spring/Summer Trends for a Muslimah

Just because we got standards and limitations doesn't mean we have to dismiss everything!  We just have to learn to choose, pick and apply where appropriate and work it!

2012 Spring/Summer is all about femininity. Here are some of my favorite picks I took from the runway, I feel a muslimah can rock!

#1 - MakeUp: All Natural. Make up is not a hijab. So, don't veil yourself with it. Make-up is meant to do two things enhance your beauty or create an art piece, but leave that art part to the make-up artist. Apply a matching foundation to even out the skin, if your skin is problematic. If not, shine on what Allah SWT gave you! Add a bit of eye concealer if dark eye circles are disturbing. Enhance your eyes with eyeliner on the upper eyelid, which will eventually blend with the bottom one making it look a bit more natural, but make sure it doesn't go around your head or from your eyelash to eyebrow. Amy Winehouse left us and so did her eyeliner. Instead of using black mascara use a clear one to enhance your eyelashes. Easy on the blush, we don't want you to look like you got hit with two tomatoes. For lips, nothing looks better then lips that are not crackin' dry! Use a good gloss that has good moisturizer. And most important, only enhance your beauty around your husband and mahrams(people you can't marry) Got to tell it how it is!
