DANNIJO is one of the hottest New York(and internationally) hand-made jewelry. The label designers are two sisters who self-taught themselves from a young age. Throughout their life they continue their ambition of jewelry design. You can read more about them in detail here. What sparked my interest was their women empowerment initiative in Africa and of course their jewelry. It is really nice to see designers put their heart into their work and give back. Danielle co-founded L.A.W.L.A, which is an organization that encourages young people in Africa to use their talent to "impact change". I also appreciate the fact that their pieces are hand-made in New York with the good quality materials. In my humble perspective, their pieces have a trend to it, yet you can still see the designer's take and are sustainable. A definitely on my savings-list.
