This is the most fabulous Muslimah fashion blog I've come across thus far! I love it and would like to feature your top hijab trends (http://www.sweetmodesty.com/2012/06/18-hijab-trends-for-summer.html) in our magazine(meccacenter.com/got-wudu/).
The Muslim Education and Convert Center of America just recently launched the magazine. We want to add a fashion spread to our upcoming issue and are looking for designers, for both men and women. This is how I came across your site.
We would feature your hijab trends, and of course, give your site a credit line. If this is something that you feel would benefit your line, and I feel that it will, please let me know as soon as possible. You can email me at gotwudu@meccacenter.com or my personal email, ms.saba.ali@gmail.com.
My name is Laila Alawa and I am part of an up-and-coming project entitled Coming of Faith. The project is very unique, as we ask real women to tell us about their own personal struggles and realizations in coming to their understanding of the Islamic faith. We are confident that this project will be a success, inshaallah. We are striving to reach as varied an audience (and contributors) as possible, and we're hoping that you would be able to feature Coming of Faith on Sweet Modesty. Although it will be officially launching in June, I was wondering whether it'd be possible either to submit a piece on the nature of the faith struggle Muslim women face, or an interview about the project and the point behind it.
A collection of coming of age and faith stories, Coming of Faith strives to spread the struggles faced by Muslim women as they come to terms with their identities as religious women in a modern society. One of the biggest strengths of the project is the personal experiences that are shared; because it is an online compilation, contributors feel more free to express themselves without fearing the judgements of others. This creates a much more inclusive atmosphere to allow any and all individuals to tell their stories in a neutral environment. With the success of Coming of Faith, we will be able to further learn about the massive diversity of Muslim women that we have in our communities.
Due to the diverse reach and relevance that your amazing site has to Coming of Faith, we believe that it would be a great opportunity for us to partner together and further the depth of Sweet Modesty. You can access the site at www.comingoffaith.com. Please let me know if you have any questions, and whether you’d be interested in working to collaborate on a feature. I hope to hear from you soon!
Thanks so much,
